8/16/2009 We have just finished our first Flapjack Fundraiser at Applebees in Greece and it was a success!!!
20 players showed up with their morning smiles on, eagar to work. Marc Howard and Kandace, Jason and Kyler, Kevin and
Fred all took turns flipping flapjacks to the plates while everyone else poured juices, coffee and plenty of good cheer.
Counting their great tips, the Ice Cats made $700. Thanks to Cathy Vaughan, Athena Kobryn, Lori Selcnick, Brenda Patrick,
Dawn Brower and all the rest for helping out in the kitchen or at the door. Thank you Rob at Applebees for your
help and we look forward to doing it again in the future.
OUR thanks go to the Weslowski and DiCeasar Family for donating space for the GARAGE SALES. The first one was held
Easter weekend, and although it was very cold, lots of people came out for that first garage sale of the season.
The second one was held in June when the sun was more plentiful, and was great success. Thanks also to all
the families who helped donate goods, priced them, set up and worked the sales. Next time tho, Ben get a bigger
fire pit!!
In 2008-2009 season, the DiCeasar family came thru again with their candy sale. How they do so well is amazing!!
Brian Gundy was top collector again in the Spikes Hike. He keeps us going. In August, the Ice Cats are serving
pancakes at Applebees in Greece. Please come out and support the team.
